i like this.Originally posted by ditzy:sbs buses also have, but no one gives a damn. Its a lag coz the turbo can't spin as fast when you just get it start spinning.
Of coz supercharge lor, if turbo was better, superman should be called turboman.

whats the pt? if it was a good thing to have on yr car, your vios would have came with a turbocharger to begin with.Originally posted by acegem84:eh kinda wondering issit possible to install a turbocharger on a vios ?
1)will it overstress the veh's engine?
2)can we adjust the amt of performance the turbocharger can provide ?
3)will it cost the veh's FC to increase?
sorry to burst ur bubble dudette. heard of the vios turbo? puts out 150 horse from the factory over the stock 105 me recalls.Originally posted by HENG@:whats the pt? if it was a good thing to have on yr car, your vios would have came with a turbocharger to begin with.
dude;Originally posted by Gedanken:What's the point?
1) Possibly - the pistons and con rods may not be designed for the stresses that come with the increased compression.
2) You can install blow-off valves, but considering there's probably precious little you can get out of it as it is, would you want to do that?
3) Of course.
like that we put neutral gear and rev up rpm first leh?Originally posted by ^tamago^:aiyoh..... turbo lag....
turbo works by using engine rpm to drive air in faster and achieve a higher compression ratio. this small efficiency machine can generate up to 40% more horsepower than non-turbocharged cars.
but since the ability to drive air in is dependent on the rpm of the engine, when you just take off with a lower rpm, the extra air and oxygen still has not come into the engine cylinders to give the engine the turbo boost, hence the "turbo lag".
TC only 150bhp? waste of time. if its so good they'd put it on the base models, or at least make more of it.Originally posted by tailslide:sorry to burst ur bubble dudette. heard of the vios turbo? puts out 150 horse from the factory over the stock 105 me recalls.![]()
haven't try before...Originally posted by digicharat:like that we put neutral gear and rev up rpm first leh?
then when rpm high enough put to first gear, still got turbo lag?
no turbo lag, but i'd like to see how your clutch copes with trying to engage at high rpms.Originally posted by digicharat:like that we put neutral gear and rev up rpm first leh?

well, 150 hps may not seem like alot. but when u weigh dat against a car with a kerb weight of 950 kg or so, the sums tell u that it can result in some pretty impressive performance.Originally posted by HENG@:TC only 150bhp? waste of time. if its so good they'd put it on the base models, or at least make more of it.
It is made in thailand limited edition.Originally posted by HENG@:TC only 150bhp? waste of time. if its so good they'd put it on the base models, or at least make more of it.
100bhp/ litre for a TC engine.Originally posted by Praetorian111:It is made in thailand limited edition.![]()
1.5litre getting 150bhp is quite impressive. Afterall, this car is meant for road usage, the turbo works only for light boost and serve for greater pick up speed.
