Installing and using of turbocharger

eh kinda wondering issit possible to install a turbocharger on a vios ?
1)will it overstress the veh's engine?
2)can we adjust the amt of performance the turbocharger can provide ?
3)will it cost the veh's FC to increase? -
What's the point?
1) Possibly - the pistons and con rods may not be designed for the stresses that come with the increased compression.
2) You can install blow-off valves, but considering there's probably precious little you can get out of it as it is, would you want to do that?

After you add in the aftermarket turbocharger, you can consider getting an aftermarket engine to go with it.

1) u can't "increase" the compression of an engine by turbocharging it. compression is a measure of the cylinder vol at bdc over tdc remember?
2) blow off valves do not limit performance. it just relieves pressure in the turbocharger when throttle is off. a boost regulator/ waste gate is a more appropriate device to limit performance.
afaik, theres a few force inducted vios' plying the local streets already. not something entirely impossible. -

turbo works by using engine rpm to drive air in faster and achieve a higher compression ratio. this small efficiency machine can generate up to 40% more horsepower than non-turbocharged cars.
but since the ability to drive air in is dependent on the rpm of the engine, when you just take off with a lower rpm, the extra air and oxygen still has not come into the engine cylinders to give the engine the turbo boost, hence the "turbo lag". -
Erm, not really, tamago. I think you might have gotten it mixed up with a supercharger.
In a supercharger (SC), it is dependent on the engine's rpm. This however, as tailslide has explained, does nothing to increase compression. I think you might have confused it with the resultant increased pressure in the combustion chamber.
The Compression Ratio is that of volume of cylinder at bottom dead centre : volume of cylinder at top dead centre. This can't be increased/decreased just because a turbocharger or supercharger has been added.
The turbocharger makes use of the pressure of hot exhaust gases to spin the turbine. This turbine sucks in the air, which is compressed during the suction process, resulting in its temperature rising rapidly. The air then goes through an intercooler, where it is allowed to cool before being sent to the engine.

bro seriously no point la.. try to appreciate the smoothness of an NA engine...
the vios engine is designed to be NA... so many things to consider when changing to forced induction.. the strength of the enigne block.. the compression ratio.. and then there is the $$$ part... -

1.5litre getting 150bhp is quite impressive. Afterall, this car is meant for road usage, the turbo works only for light boost and serve for greater pick up speed. -

light boost turbo, I know of a 2l light boost engine that puts out 120bhp per litre.
The vios is no Elise. lightweight doesn't mean it corners well. Looking at the bodyshape and profile of the Vios, and taking into consideration the fact that its so light, its probably quite unstable at speed. Deathtrap.
