hmm just collected my car 2 weeks back..what is your FC?????? I so far got 9 to 11.... best is 11...
would u prefer to top up at half tank or when near empty? I did 2 test.. though not conclusive.. but i dunno if its true.. when i top up at half tank.. i got 10.. but when i top up near empty.. i got 11.. driving habits constant.. no reving.. gradual acceleration... top speed so far 85km/hour -

Anyway, my FL sunny best FC is 13.3km/l, worst FC is 10.8 km/l.
My FC not constant these days, if rushing for time, carry heavy load or impatient (heavy foot), might get about 11+ km/l.
But at times travel on expressways with less traffic, I can get about 12+ km/l.
So FC actually depending on quite a few factors, no fix figures.
I try to top up between half to 1/4 tank and top up at night.
Going in for my 10k servicing soon. Hopefully after changing to syn oil, my FC can improve a bit.
By the way, if you have any questions on your sunny, it's better to post it in NEC. People there are more helpful and friendly. At least they respect your sunny. -
dun worry so much about the fuel consumption as ur car is still new. give the engine some time and the fuel consumption will inprove when it is run-in. by then, if u r still not satisfied with the figures u r getting, you might wan to consult the rest of the sunny owners to see if they have their own methods of maximising their fuel dollars.Originally posted by choppers:hmm just collected my car 2 weeks back..what is your FC?????? i am no sunny owner but this applies to me when i took delivery of my car then. it was a crappy 11.2 back then...... now it hovers around 14 to 16km/litre -
better go post in ur NEC forum unless you can take sunny's otherwise remarks/comments.
but since u posted here...sunny's notorious FC is known by now (if u still dun). what u r having is the average and consistent with the findings of people here (at least for me). n u get it at 11km/l, consider yourself lucky. -

Don't worry bro, its still running in, after 5k servicing, TC will change Sys oil for you, FC will improve 5~10%, BTW next service you can ask the service guy to fine tuning your fuel inject system( maybe sacrifice power for FC)

Should be AT based on his FC figures. He should get a MT if he's really concern about FC.
TCM only provide syn oil at 10k km.
My friend also complain about his poor FC and already tune his engine. But it didn't help much to improve his FC.
