the risk of killing someone else is too high. Its unjustifiable.Originally posted by olala:there so ula...even if were to speed there...not much motorist anyway right?
no. it dun mean that. But at least the people I know who did that, had formal track training to begin with.Originally posted by olala:haha...wat a snoob!
read dcx quite recent statement
u dont got a license means u cant ask about driving or racing?
u dun have a degree means u cant talk about wanting to go university?
aw..guess ur not much of a person who cant acheieve big things
The very least a racer has to know is to understand the dangers of the sport, and how to deal with it in a responsible manner. Go ask any other professional circuit racing driver, u'll know that's true.Originally posted by olala:but since i like racing,at least i've tried
the wright brothers attempted flying althought it was pretty dangerous[from the fact that their planes were stil in testing mode]
i didnt say i wun end up dead..many things that world class acheiver attempted are very dangerous like racing, skydiving
but important thing is determination and fightign spirit isnt it
Im nt insultign themOriginally posted by TwinTurbo_Supra:err... racing is not all about dying.
If u think of it that way and take stupid risks, u WILL die.
And stop giving the determination speeches, they are just making u look stupid.![]()
and im nt realistic?Originally posted by TwinTurbo_Supra:Yes.
But these people who went to the moon did not sit around talking about things they couldnt do, they were realistic.
How about try driving a normal saloon car after getting your license, get a few yrs experience then get a GTR, then slowly start on the track...Originally posted by olala:and im nt realistic?
Perhaps my method of doign so are dangerous, racign is always risk involve and dangerous
hands down and admit it is...
but im nt dumb and will start slwo on a race track then do some stunts..
till then its license first
and for ur farkin info, if u wan to start racing, get a farkin license and a farkin racing license be4 u come in talk crap.. behaving like some ahbeng ginna talk big and nv go thru ur peasize brain be4 shit comes out ur mouth or rather thru ur typing..Originally posted by olala:and im nt realistic?

not realistic? 150kph round that corner? drifting through that corner?Originally posted by olala:and im nt realistic?

That's it...no more Daytona USA games for u!Originally posted by dcx:drop gear for wat.......at 150km/hr...i find it no kick to make the turn...normally, i'll either further it to 250km/hr or i reverse my gear.....![]()
Ah Heng SENSEI!!!! *offers tea*Originally posted by HENG@:from yr technique i can tell u u're going to crash. all jerky and rough.
give the wheel a full jerk? brake halfway in the curve? dun make me laugh pls. That'll only upset the balance of the car.
1stly, what car are u assuming u're in?
Personally, assuming im approaching it at 150km/h and im in a 4WD sportscar, I would most likely have a braking point picked out aready. I would be in 4th gear or possibly 3rd. Seeing as Devil's Bend is an off camber turn, and I'm in a 4WD car, I might go for a late apex approach as I am expecting understeer under acceleration. If I'm taking a middle apex I would take entry speed to be around 80km/, depending on the car's traction. Personally I would still opt for a late apex approach, with an entry speed of perhaps 60km/h, but gaining the ability to start accelerating earlier.
With a neutral apex approach, assuming in 4th, I would brake with my right foot. Assuming I'm in 3rd, I would brake with my left. if in 4th gear I would have to downshift to 3rd before entry(hence braking with right foot). If in 3rd, I won't downshift. I would then depend on left foot braking to keep the understeer in check.
Personally since I prefer a late apex approach, I will downshift to 2nd, whether im in 3rd or 4th. turn the car in at about 60, get it straightened out as early as possible and accelerate out of the turn, ideally upshifting into 3rd after performing most of the turn just before I take my late apex. Due to the shallower trajectory of a late apex approach, although turn in speed is lower, as the tyres don't need as much emphasis on lateral grip, and can accept a higher radial load, thus enabling a higher rate of acceleration, I expect to be able to exit the corner faster, accelerating harder. Point of acceleration can be before the apex, controlled with smoothness of the throttle inputs, not just stomping on it outright.
Aboveall, all transition in cornering phase has to be smooth, the turning of the wheel has to be smooth, any corrections should be in small smooth inputs. Big jerks of the wheel will just upset the balance of the car and slow u down.
And drifting this corner will most likely kill u, because its off camber. For a racer to successfully negotiate a corner at high speed, he or she must 1st be able to assess its properties. technique-wise, u have a long way to go before u should even think about tackling this corner. My advice to u is: don't.
btw, devil's bend is not a U bend. its approx 135 degrees, as shown:
I like the BatMobileOriginally posted by dcx:I like Ferrari n Lambo...![]()

If you really want to learn drifting, do it the right way... not straightway get a license and get a GTR... that is being unrealistic... You won't have the experience to handle that car...Originally posted by olala:I thin kron got ban
i pm mod last week about kron flaming[mod has gave warning and i've become more mannered in my typings
but kron continued with the nonenses
I juz want u guys to know that i'm not here to shoot my mouth off talking about some 'wanna do big things'
true i dun got a lisence yet but i luv drifting and wuld juz lyk a pointer or two regarding drifting thats all
i welcome advices and corrections,of course u've to do it polietly...its courtesy isnt it
as to why i pm mod,if anyone bothered, read my 1st post and kron 1st post
while mine's a asking for advices while hes a doubting and flaming all way long
ur persistent dependance on mods somehow speaks of ur own personal lack of security or some form of personality dysfunction. most ppl would consider it bad talking behind someone. in some places, ppl call it backstabbing.Originally posted by olala:I thin kron got ban
