Seekin for help here.. coz i dunno abt how a car purchase goes.. i have a budget of 700/ month. and also heard tat there's thing like full loan? can i know wat is it all abt? can list of few car that's ard my budget? sorry to ask so many Qs coz me is totally new here know nothing car n i dunno how m i suppose to ask Qs.. appreciate alot if anyone could help.. thanz alot...

Sometimes there isn't a need to buy one unless you really are into cars or your work/family requires one.
I'd say you may want to consider doing your homework, find out the deal about OMVs, scrap value, the rise and fall of COEs, your preference for which car you may want to buy etc.
By doing your homework i mean visit the OneMotoring websites, window shop at the 2nd hand car marts to get an idea of the marekt rate for a desired car, and probably go to certain showrooms to get one of their SE's to do a financial analysis for your budget.

Seriously do the proper research and don't commit to a car too soon. -
If your budget is 700/month to spend on yourself, then better not get a car... safest bet is around $1200 a month...

The best car you can afford will be a vios after downpayment of $8000 monthly will be around $400 plus. of course, the other cars that you will be able to afford will be Picanto, kelisa, getz, Rio, verna
Sunny and lancer will be in the range close to Vios however, the fuel Consumption will be a factor to take note of since the fuel prices are going up.
The best is to plan your total loan to be not more than 1/3 of your total earnings. The loan will be inclusive of study loan, housing loan(the additional amount having to top up). As a car loan is a relatively long term commitment I will advise you to plan wisely.

u shld postpone buying a car for as long as u can. if u can make do with public transport, stick with it until circumstances forces u to get one, like work, family, etc.
i have owned cars since 1990, and did have a year or two w/out cars for more than one occasion. it's actually not a bad situation since public transport here is pretty good.
