both are just as ugly in my opinion.
The bonnet for the sg one is too short,more like a van,its too long,the windscreen is too big........n its sohc for 1.8
Seems like hondas going backwards..... -
put mugen bodykit.. it looks so damn nice... almost look alike lyk accord

whether its sohc or dohc, its abt engine power/torque. honda has been toying with sohc for very long...but still who says it is a bad idea? just look at their best selling small/compact car - jazz. underpowered?? not at all.
the 1.8 civic with sohc is just nice for the singapore roads. test drive one n you will see for urself.
as for the 2.0 civic, given the extra power, it can be said that even ah pek that drove one look and feel much younger...this car is not in the same category as an ordinary toyota. certainly not to be classified as an ah pek car...but then again, lots of 'young' ah peks are driving them now. -

AMG 55 engines uses SOHC and 3 valves per cylinder... dare to qie them??? also dunno the reason... maybe heng can explain -
of course honda is going backwards. they've also gone from the more advanced independent double wishbone suspension system from the last gen hondas, to the less advanced MacPherson Strut system at the front.

dun think honda boring la...i think it is the most progressive of japanese car companies, bar none, in terms of technology and design. in a recent survey in usa, honda took something like 6 of the top 10 cars american consumer like in the various categories. and crv lost by a whisker to subaru's forrester in compact suv category.

i dun have a civic but i think it's a very nice car...
for jap brands, i agree toyota and nissan are boring, mazda(design only) and subaru more progressive like honda. mitsubishi neither...imo -

the paddle shift is a good thing...but if u want to use it wif the car to race...i tink u be disappointed coz the gear ratios are rather wide...

my friend's will come in july. He's dad got the 1.6 version instead of the 2.0 version. He said something abt the curise control option is only on the 2.0, and the cruise control can only be activated at 100km/h. I might be wrong!

i think civic raise the bar all round for a mid-size jap saloon. make the rest like altis, mazda 3, seplhy and the jap lot looked so yesterday lah.... -

This looks like the base they are gonna use for the upcoming Type R... quite nice! But still slightly 'hippo' like.
