the new 95 is real cool. heck, i'd even go for a 4 year old 95 since they look so innovative even for those years.Originally posted by cornyfish2000:Well if i were to buy a car from that class, i'd go for the new Saab 95... looks far more sleek.
Can't compare volvo to latio or City, totally different in terms of price.![]()

I still prefer the 1994-98 Saab 900s. Saab seems to have stopped building hatchbacks after 2000 or 2001.Originally posted by nullifi3d:the new 95 is real cool. heck, i'd even go for a 4 year old 95 since they look so innovative even for those years.
Never a fan of the 9-5, the proportion fo the car just looks totally off. The new facelift makes it look worst..like someone just punched its face. (yeah I know looks are subjective, so just my 2 cents) Ahh but the 9-3...I likeOriginally posted by nullifi3d:the new 95 is real cool. heck, i'd even go for a 4 year old 95 since they look so innovative even for those years.
Opels / Vuxhalls will never be my 1st choice of cars.. If it has to be something that range, ill go for a VW Jetta or a Renult Megane.Originally posted by eric3417:Can consider the Astra 1.8 auto?
German & good price?![]()
It takes time to get used to it's looks. I drive a Saab 95 2.0T in SG, Dad's 2nd car and i love it after a while. Totally different from driving a Merc or a Bmw.. Here in Canada, i just drive a simple Jetta.Originally posted by KangZ:Never a fan of the 9-5, the proportion fo the car just looks totally off. However, overall, I will still choose a Volvo for its quality, style and handling over a Saab.
The only sad thing is that Trans Eurokars didn't bring in the 9-5 Viggen. Now that would be a monster.Originally posted by ben1406:It takes time to get used to it's looks. Heard that Saab cars have terrible torque steer. Is that true?
my saab back home is about 3 odd years old. only problem it ever gave me was right rear brake light failure. yeah, we always hear of saabs breaking down, etc etc.. my car's interior is still in very good condition. i guess it depends on whether the owner looks after his car right ?Originally posted by Gazelle:Saab cars are good when new, but they not build to last. yeah i tested one over here in Canada. great car i must say, handling and performance is way better then mine back home.. tried both 9-3 & 9-5 Aeros. i like the 9-3 areo better.Originally posted by cornyfish2000:Anyone driven the 9-5 Aero?
I'd have bought that car if only i could afford it..
What about a 1996 900S (new gen)? Is it still good?Originally posted by Gazelle:Saab cars are good when new, but they not build to last. Go check out a 3-4 year old saab before considering getting a new one.
go check out for yourself lah...I think the major turn off is the interior as they tend to fall apart after a few years. many this could be due to our harsh weather and humidity.Originally posted by iveco:What about a 1996 900S (new gen)? Is it still good?![]()
