A 'Must' to bring driving license out?

  Just wonder is it a 'MUST' to bring my driving license out if i driving?
  Will i be fine if i didn't bring my IC and driving license out when i'm driving?

  If IC is enough why TP bother to issue out driving licences in the first place? Next time I go overseas on a holiday, I think I'll just leave my passport at home, bring my IC enough hor?

  You pay $$$ to get licence so that you can keep at home?
  
  Without IC or driving licence, what difference are you from those bangladeshi, Chinese National or Indian nationals on the road?
  All of them claim to be Singaporean and that they got licence!!
  Use mouth say who cannot
  
  Do you go to an interview and say you got qualification without bringing your dip or deg?
  Do you go to your private town club and say you member without bringing your membership card?
  
  Dun down grade yourself lah...your licence picture not presentable meh?
  Then you expect Traffic stop you and you tell them 'I got licence'.
  Yes they can check...but are you that stupid to wait for an hour to screen thru their system of 1 million licence to chcek if you realli got licence.
  Or you prefer to show them and you can go off within minutes?

  According to law, you must be able to produce identification or license to drive when asked by authorities.

  Sure you can leave your license at home, and when an officer asks to see it and you explain the situation you'll only end up the night in jail. Unless you can bullsh!t your way through la.

  For me, I'll just leave my IC at home and bring my driver's licence out. It also acts as an IC card so... there.
  
  if you happen to get caught w/o yr driver's licence with you, i can only think of 2 scenarios: either you can get them to escort u back to your house to take yr licence and show them (unlikely) or, they bring you back to the station and you have to get someone to bring your licence to the station.
  
  So, worth all that trouble? just bring your licence whenever you are driving lah.

  Yes, it is under the law that a driver should produce a driver license when authorities that are enpowered demands that the driver shows the license. An i/c can only act as a temporary source if the driving license is lost and while in the process of doing a new one. Driving license in additional cannot act as an i/c.

  firstly, if u can ask urself can dun bring licence or ic or not means u remember that u have a licence and ic.
  
  2ndly, if u can dun bring ur licence or ic out, then they give u one for wad? frame up and hang on the wall at home ah?
  
  now u know u have to bring licence or ic when u go out. so sometimes if forget den tell police u forget lor. honest mistake wad. its not as if u sa ren fang huo

  i got stopped before and i forgot to bring my licence they just called hq and check and they let me go saying to remember it next time

  problem arise when driving in m'sia. Sg car are usually the best target for sponsoring costly coffee break, coupled with it if you did not bring yr license ... unthinkable!!!
  Now I leave my car license in the car, unless i fly overseas and need to drive.
