Its common to have your car drift to left side on SG roads coz of the camber build into our roads.Originally posted by spencer99:Hi,
If you are driving on a staright and level road and let go of steering and the car drift to one side...
i understand that is a whell alignment issue.
Question is how did the mechanic correct this? is it by machine? or what?
Really? I didn't know that.Originally posted by siaokao:Its common to have your car drift to left side on SG roads coz of the camber build into our roads.

might as well say use ruler measureOriginally posted by babymac13:Can use a measuring tape measing the left and right alignment and ajusting the steering rod accordingly.
Now u do..Originally posted by newcomer:Really? I didn't know that.
I did that when I was in army for all vehicles, we have no alignment system.Originally posted by tailslide:might as well say use ruler measure
afaik, u can't measure alignment by simple geometrical calculations. u need an alignment system to do so. and adjusting the steering column only corrects the neutral position of ur steering wheel. it does nothing for ur alignment.![]()
Actually its possible to measure "toe" setting using only measuring tape. But of coz its not very accurate lah.. and u cannot tell how many degrees.. only a rough estimate.Originally posted by babymac13:I did that when I was in army for all vehicles, we have no alignment system.
Maybe for commercial vehicles, you need an alignment system, which I don't have much knowledge then.
