Obtaining Driver's License

  Hi all
  
  I'll be heading over to Queensland, Australia on a student visa.
  Would really appreciate it if anyone could
  
  1) update me about the approximate costs and duration required to obtain a qualified driver's license there.
  
  2) If i were to get a qualified license, would it be an international one? As in, will i be able to drive in Singapore, by converting the australia's driving license?
  
  3) If conversion is applicable, is there a limited period of time that i can drive?

  not sure abt the licence sytem for aust but for international licence owners to drive on sg roads, they have to take btt.
