Do anyone know how long does it take to get the summon when you dash red light and got caught by the camera at the roadside , what i mean is those built at the roadside one not those pple hold one . I waited one week but still no news yet .
it will come one day...so prepare for the money first
longest wait = 1 to 3 months... slowly wait bahz... although sometime you might not be caught.

kanna caught by speed camera @ yishun there...
they never ask my friend to pay but it serves as a reminder letter..
can i ask whetehr this will affect next time road tax & insurance amt?

Nowadays....
- It usually takes 2 weeks to receive the TP's thank you letter (sometimes a bit sooner, sometimes a bit later). Sometimes never arrive also, if you're very lucky (did you see the flash?). Understand, however, that its considered a serious offence - 12 points + possibility to be charged in court (although I think hardly anyone actually goes to court for it unless an accident happens).
- I heard of people getting warning letter for speeding recently, but only if they were over the speed limit by a bit (1-20 kmh), probably closer to the 1 kmh side). I believe the letter also mentions that if the person gets another warning, they may decide to serve a summons instead.
- Having demerit points does not affect road tax. If you don't have demerit points, you may get additional 5% off insurance price. Otherwise, it doesn't affect NCD or insurance at all.
