Miata Accident

Ok, I hope I get this right this time... I tried creating a post earlier but I got it wrong the first time. I am new here. I am just trying to find out something and I hope someone can tell me. It's about the Miata accident in Sept 05 I think - the one which result in the death of a Mazda Sales Exec.
My question is : what happened? Was there any follow up and/or any court case?
I understand that this gave rise to some heated forum posts last time around. I am really not trying to get into that. But I would like to know what happened if anyone has conrete info, or read something in the newspapers I may have missed.

another news being so called " cover-up" by our local media i guess ... nothing new .. it's been like this these days .. even PDMM news got more exposure in the news these days then some reckess driver killing someone
