My First Experience Driving an Evo 9

Got a chance to drive an Evo 9 GT briefly yesterday.
All I can say is: what a waste to own an Evo on the Singapore roads! Before I can fully grasp the feel, I have already hit the next traffic light! (meebee in 3 seconds or less?) The Evo had really taught me the true definition of the term POWER.
On the second gear, there was some kind of lag for a split second. But when the turbo kicks in on the 2nd gear, I went "Whoooooaa!". But the best is yet to be. After moving onto the 3rd gear, there was absolutely no turbo lag, and on throttle I went like "WAHLAN EH!!!! My sh-it coming out liao!!!"
Hahaha ok la, frankly I haven't had many chances to drive performance cars, so this may just be sua-koo on my part. But really, the drive is so exhilerating that I almost pee on my pants. I thought I was driving a supersonic jet!
I just gotta post this - cos the ride of the car just keep recurring in my mind! No wonder people are so crazy about Evo. I heard that the stock Evo 9 GT is 320bhp. Is that true?
Just a question: How does the WRX Sti matches up to the Evo? I am talking about the euro spec Sti. -
Many people, including me, thinks a simple ecu mod wont get the evo up to 320 horses.

oh yes, i havent got the chance to lay my hands and feet on the car but fortunately my friend is driving a Garage R tuned e9. So i get to feel the 5xx+ of horses in there. its addictively powerful.

Yeah, owning an Evo in Singapore is mainly to boost one's ego. The car's potential performance is totally irrelevent on Singapore roads.

if its the stock gt from c&c then maybe got 320 hp ... but got so kua zhang bo ... haha ... the stock got no much g-force leh ... but overall the car is good ... king of import

its all up to individual ... there's no such thing as the performance not put to use in sg la ... personally i think in the first place the feel of driving it is diff wat ... i mean i learn car by driving vios and i drive evo after i pass ... there is a significant diff in the handling and feel .. plus the accel is the part that i personally enjoy ... so its sure of use in sg road ...

i remembered watching a Top Gear video about the Evo 9.... and it mentioned that the turbo lag is horrendous. Doesn't kick in until about 4krpm or so... the downside of having such a big turbo in it.

a stock M3 will beat a stock STi and a stock EVO both hands down ANYTIME.
unbelievable german engineering in a NA engine.. i have driven 2 different M badge cars in my life and they were truly unforgetable...
but if u like the turbo surge and the G it gives u at a certain rpm.. get a tc car.. -
A guy in a local bike forum says his Lexus (family car ) can win an Evo !
Wasn't pleased about the way the Evo was being degraded!

unbelievable german engineering in a NA engine.. i have driven 2 different M badge cars in my life and they were truly unforgetable...
