  What is the difference between the following 2 examples:
  
  1) Chopping the head of a cat and then cutting its body into 4 pieces.
  
  2) Chopping the head of a chicken and then cutting its body into many many pieces, eg. chicken wings, drumstick, thinghs, breast etc.
  
  I'm really curious. Why is it alright for us to chop up animals like chickens, ducks and pigs and not cats and dogs?

  we chop chickens, ducks, pigs, cows, etc is cos we want to eat it. there is a need to do it
  chopping up cats and dogs are just for FUN. that is the diff.

  Oh ok... so if that guy who chopped up the kitten had the intention of eating it, it means that he is allowed to do so?
  
  According to me, there is no difference between chopping up a cat or a chicken. We feel tht it's ok to see a roast pig or roast chicken on the table becos we're so used to it already... as for cats and dogs, we treat them as pets so we think tht they shld not be chopped or killed.... im sure tht if we live in a world where cats and dogs are delicacies, while chickens are kept as pet, then anyone caught chopping up a chicken will be in big trouble...

  why is SPCA making a big fuss about it... they should start vegetarian campaign instead..... then wait till SPCP ( society for prevention cruelty to plants) to come out..
