i think acura is just another Honda marketing name tagetting north america customers ....
like what toyota call their cars lexus over their exporting market in north america ...

acura is the hi-end brand for honda....
toyota = lexus
nissan = infiniti
they are within the division of the parent company
not to be confused with proton = lotus, or honda = mugen, etc. these relationship r different.
this is to address the perception of american market segment. many associated with jap brands of old as everyday car. so, to take on merz. beemers, etc., these brands are conceived to take them on. -
