In order to avoid being sued by foreign companies, Chinese automakers decided to mix designs of 2 or more cars and claim it as their own
Take a look at this, Altis' body and slightly modified headlights, Honda City's rear lights
BYD F3

if only they could put their "smartness" into creating something original.

Some Chinese automakers have backing from foreign manufacturers and may design something similar to an existing car.
But the BYD makers are dodgy in mixing more than 1 existing design. Wonder if Honda and Toyota could sue them.

Why not just use the parts directly fix on!
They are having a good time interchange parts, but the car is really sux! Make us think if I have an Altis or City will the parts be make from China?

BYD F3. Rides exactly like an Altis but powered by a noisy 1.6L Mitsubishi Lancer-sourced engine. The F3 is an exact carbon copy of the Altis and is built and drives like one. The F3 is set to be built in Malaysia in 2007 by LM Star Autoworld - a Johorean car assembler

Wow. Altis chassis, City rear lights & Mitsubishi engine. What a rojak.
