1/2 a star for EURO NCAP is also a pass...would i want to be in that car? NO. would i want 2 be seen as a guy who die die no $ wanna buy new car? No.Originally posted by pbeyondp:hey look at the design again, if its made my honda, it'll definitely get ur attention right?
i mean... its just the brand. what if the safety feature is not as bad as the QQ?
as in... it passed those stringent euro tests. would u still consider it for sub 50k?
put it simply:
this car bears the chery brand with significant driver safety improvement. would u guys consider for sub 50k?

sometimes it's not the brand... safety does not solely centre arnd the no of air bags n all tt nonesence... of course it may help if implemented correctly. In fact, a car wif kangaroo bars and nudge bars may be less safe than cars w/o...Originally posted by pbeyondp:hey look at the design again, if its made my honda, it'll definitely get ur attention right?

Yes..what is galling is that the crash was at 50 or less (?) km/h. Already the doors are buckling. Try extricating yourself from that mess.Originally posted by HANDSOME_1:sometimes it's not the brand... safety does not solely centre arnd the no of air bags n all tt nonesence... of course it may help if implemented correctly. it's really the amt of effort tt a company puts into research, to improve the safety of their cars...
if u had seen the pics of the QQ in the crash test, air bags wouldn't hv helped. the dash pierced the driver's leg!!! imaging if it went through a major vein! look also at the crash dummy... u may notice the seat belt is strangling the driver... furthermore, the loose dash and interior panels will also become projectiles during the accedent.
seriously lah... u don't expect much (quality as well as reasearch) frm a company tt started in 1998 do u?
btw, can anyone verify if there's a pic in the QQ catalogue of a man standing in the rain wif a QQ behind?( a car mag was making fun of it...)
