its not about how u ctrl the steering. It's a momentum. Hold the steering firm.. but dun hold the steering as if u wanna crunch it!
juz relax..
For the 1st timers, when u travelin.. pls put both hands on the steering.. firm and feel the car.. and ur eyes try to glance at the dotted line to aim & follow the dotted lines make sure ur car doent goes to other ppl's lane when conering at bend (bent) (i dunno which is the correct spelling lol)
When travellin at straight road/highway, Do not speed.. cool relax.. but do not road hog!.. improve ur driving on stability and once u're there, u feel "hey finally im driving as if i'm on rails" .... so thats is ur momentum.. so dat's it..
And.. watch the traffics.. and importantly ur blindspots! not g-spots! nehhh kidding! watch for motocycles sumtimes they juz appear like magic at ur side windscreen.. !

drop the idea to go for a license and let ur hubby drive or take cabs.. pls.. -

and I agree with U on the bending...whether U have already passed or is just learning how to negotiate a bend...pls turn in ur own lane...seen a lot of drivers on the road who cant keep to their own lane especially at bends...makes me wonder how they pass one...or maybe pass already bochup...
anyway...technique-wise...last time BBDC teach me to use a point at the front of the car as a guide...as long as ur guide point is in the centre of the road...ur car would be in the middle of the lane...that point for me was the wiper spray(the one that water sprays out to wet ur windscreen)...different car models have different things on their cars and so is ur body height so go and find the point that suits U...this method is for newbie...once U get the hang of it...U should be able to centre ur car by feel and U can use the newbie method to check urself once in a while.

my instructor taught me a way to keep yr car in the middle on the lane, till now i am still using it as a guide..
u know the windscreen, bottom right edge....it should meet the road marking on yr lane's right hand side..

use the side mirrors as to see the dotted lines on the road and adjust accordingly.

arrow on roads shud be directly below ur gearbox.
so for starters like you, u need a transparent bodywork! -
