Parallel Importer recommendation

  pls hlp recommend a solid/truthworthy PI. thinking of changing car liao..
  
  considering getting Honda Fit/ Toyota Vitz lor..

  A good recomendation is not going for grey imports.

  For Toyota, I would go for Ricardo. All other PI and their associated workshop are crap.

  There are many trust-worthy parallel importers around.
  
  The many parallel imported cars zoomng around on the roads are testimony to that.
  
  You can try visiting the major car marts, and make your decision who to go to.
  
  Rule of the thumb is not to go to the PI who offers you a ridiculously low price. Chances are, they can't deliver the goods.
  
  Always take your time and walk around and talk to the different salespeople around. Never settle down and make your buy on the first shop you go to.
  
  Thats my advice.

  being a noob.. i suggest you don't go PI yet.
  
  you better understand what PI does and differences between cars.
  
  They might import a vehicle that is not weathered for Singapore. (car that was originally meant for UK market)
  
  They might mislead you into buying a vehicle that wasn't what you wanted. ( you wanted a Japanese made Fit but they brought in for you a Thai or Indonesian Jazz instead and they replate it to Fit).
  
  Best is you do some little research like how to tell a car is sutiable for use in singapore.
  
  hint: singapore has quite a lax importation rules, so long it is RHD and complies with either EC, JIS or the North American standard.. it can be imported.

  Got my Accord 3weeks back.
  Been to many PI...finally settle with Hock Kon from West Coast Car Mart.
  No hidden agenda....no admin fee....no deposit..no gst...no this ....no that
  Car was delivered 5 days after COE bidding.
  And my Accord cost 4K lower (for imme delivery) as compare to some other PI.
