From what I heard from most cabbies, cyclists have a bad Rep for ROAD HOGGING..Originally posted by RaaRaa:But I thought it was motorbikers that car drivers hate ? Motor and car always race each other one I have seen it before. although eventually its the biker who dies.![]()
Is it? I only know that cyclists are dangerous, any how turn without signaling. Early morning can see it...Originally posted by markzz:From what I heard from most cabbies, cyclists have a bad Rep for ROAD HOGGING..![]()
Banglas and foreign workers are the reckless ones... once seen a Bangla riding AGAINST the heavy traffic at Little India and cutting diagonally across the road to the other side.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Is it? This was of course greeted by lots of honking..![]()

so u are trying to say that the only place for cyclists are the public parks and sidewalks?Originally posted by Rock^Star:Cyclists don't deserve to be on the road at all. They are vulnerable to any mistake from the killing machines out there. Moreover, they cannot hit speeds of 50km/h and above, they are a nuisance to traffic.
More and more deaths but people still cycle on the roads to "excercise", "save money" .......bah!![]()
Not for me to say but govt should have foreseen this problem. Cycling paths should have been built years ago.Originally posted by markzz:so u are trying to say that the only place for cyclists are the public parks and sidewalks?hmm....
cyclists have no signals lights whatOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Is it? I only know that cyclists are dangerous, any how turn without signaling. Early morning can see it...
what is the width of your car??Originally posted by RaaRaa:Its irritating for car drivers when cyclists ride on the side of the road. Especially when its a 1 lane road.
yes cycling paths should have been builted long time ago but you think iszz possible to have cycling path built all over singapore ??Originally posted by Rock^Star:Not for me to say but govt should have foreseen this problem. Cycling paths should have been built years ago.
There was one time this "bangla" lost his balance and veered right in front of me. I almost thought I was going to run him over if not for the fact that he regained his momentum.
So if I run him over, who will the police fault? They will slap me with a fine, demerit points and his hospital bill. If he's dead, I'm going to jail? Cyclists should be banned from roads.
they will do. but you think how long will it happened? its not always cyclists fault that accident happened!Originally posted by Rock^Star:Y not? Look at our pedestrian paths.....U don't think our govt can do it? Or would u rather see fellow cyclists die on the road every single year, without fail......
While I agree they shouldn't be on the roads, the government is doing to nothing to help.Originally posted by Rock^Star:Cyclists don't deserve to be on the road at all. Hand signals...Originally posted by leo-kun:cyclists have no signals lights what
You are right that it's not always a cyclist's fault that accident happens. Given this nature of our road conditions, cyclists should be banned to prevent further deaths.Originally posted by leo-kun:they will do. but you think how long will it happened? its not always cyclists fault that accident happened!
Even if cannot, can share with cars de what... just keep to the side. Use hand signal when want to make turns. Just that the government don't want nia... and build a lot of blocks some more.Originally posted by leo-kun:yes cycling paths should have been builted long time ago but you think iszz possible to have cycling path built all over singapore ??
maybe you should try cycling on the road and give hand signal at the same timeOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Hand signals...
I know of a few considerate cyclists who will hand signal...
then should we have a lane for motorcycles too??Originally posted by Rock^Star:You are right that it's not always a cyclist's fault that accident happens. Given this nature of our road conditions, cyclists should be banned to prevent further deaths.
