Then implement a system such that, every report awards you some points.... then in turn accumulate them and exchange these points for petrol![]()

Might as well use it to offset your demerit points, every year can only carry 7 points over.Originally posted by tomsss:I think drivers should do this instead: Report any sightings of offenders straight away for any of the slightest offence they make

thats what i'm afraid the stupid gps system will be used for 1 nm/s more than the speed limit and you get bookedOriginally posted by Fatum:well, it's more than that actually .....
let say, for us drivers, do we keep to the posted speed limit absolutely 100% of the time ? ....
when it says 80, don't we all actually hover around plus/minus 10 or so ? ...
ditto for parking spaces ... my school at one time employed students as part-time parking wardens around the campus, so at popular spots around large faculties you'll see a row of them staring that the parking meters like vultures, doesn't matter if you're one second over the limit, once the meter blinks red, you're nailed .... is this the sort of situation that we'd like to see ? ... (they still do, but they are more discrete now, cos you don't want to be seen ticketing some 220lb football player's car ...)
it's not so much about breaking the rules, but the flexibility of enforcement that makes daily motoring (and life) bearable .....
imagine some scholar comes up with a brillant idea of integrating a gadget into our ERP readers that tracks our driving speed, and we all get a ticket for every nano second that we go over the posted speed limit anywhere .....
exactly ...Originally posted by ShutterBug:In daily driving, almost NOBODY sticks to the posted speed limits on any roads.
..err.. even myself, I usually cruise at between 80-90 for 80 limit, and 90-100 for 90 limit.![]()
Kana high beam then tailgate then overtake and look at you.Originally posted by ditzy:If I drive at the speed indicated on the signboards on the expressway and on the leftmost lane, I still get overtaken.![]()

Buy two speed limit stickers, one indicates 80Kmh another indicates 90Kmh.Originally posted by T.Ryousuke:Kana high beam then tailgate then overtake and look at you.
80 shd be fine on left and centre lane but on right lane.......hmmmm. I have met so many drivers who drive 60km/h centre lane on expressways.....these people, I have no hesitation flashing and honking them.Originally posted by T.Ryousuke:Sorry I drive 80km/h only, there are alot of this kind of ppl.
