hmmm.. but what if the car has to go through a series of tight chicanes (F1's tight ,tight corners, not sure spelling correct boh ) and suddenly be faced with a long straightway ? wun the auto transmission car be disadvantaged in the suddenly change of speed? As in, with manual, u can quickly shift to lower gear and pick up speed quickly. But auto still need to wait for the system to detect the change in speed and "shift " gears for u.Originally posted by Kuali Baba:Automatic gearchanges were briefly allowed in F1 in 2001, when launch and traction control systems were re-introduced. These don't use a torque converter though.
REAL LIFE meaning racing a REAL car and not racing a digital car in arcade games..Originally posted by orange_ninja:wat do u mean by REAL LIKE RACING? so u mean the ghosts and spirits use auto cars to race as they're considered AFTER LIFE racing?
In F1. It still can be shifted low or high gear as desired although its auto. Coz the gearbox is a semi-automatic.. but for now.. its totally manual but still its a semi-auto.. semi auto is a clutchless .. i means the clutch is control by a computer etc3......Originally posted by markzz:hmmm.. but what if the car has to go through a series of tight chicanes (F1's tight ,tight corners, not sure spelling correct boh ) and suddenly be faced with a long straightway ? wun the auto transmission car be disadvantaged in the suddenly change of speed?
