Honda Jazz or Honda Fit

  Hi Guys,
  
  thinking of getting my first car. Looking at both the Jazz and Fit.
  Jazz 1.4A and Fit 1.3A, Fit is parallel import.
  Anyone can advise me what is the actual difference and if there are any points to note with buying a parallel import car?

  basically they are same...
  while if u trust PI, buy Fit; otherwise, buy Jazz.

  Jazz would be fitted with accessories the common singaporeans usually want to have in their cars.
  
  Fit would be fitted with a foreign market's preference. But sometimes the PI will change it for you.
  
  But if you PI, PLEASE make it in the contract explicitly clear that you want a MADE IN JAPAN Fit.
  
  While it doesn't really matter, but you are just paying extra for nothing.

  i heard that the Jazz warranty is 3 years, Fit only 1 year. Kah Motors put more priority to Jazz, true?

  PI got 5 , 3 year warranty.
  but their workshop are crap according to some ppl. lol

  thanks guys for your advice.
  hmm.. really have to find a reliable PI if decide to buy Fit, cos it costs around $42-43K now, seems like a super deal, while Jazz costs around $52K.
  
  btw, is it wise to get a second hand Fit or Jazz, 1 or 2 years old?

  wad do u mean when parrellel import?
  personally, i think jazz looks nicer though they look alike 90%.
  i think the new suzuki swift oso nice. 52k oso.

  Parallel imports are cars that you imported through a non-official dealer. In Honda's case, official dealer is Kah Motors.
  
  As far as I know.. there are now 3 versions of Jazz/Fit.
  
  Japanese, Thai or Indonesian assembled. Outside Japan it should be called Jazz.
  
  So for those planning to buy PI, please check your contract and if possible make them include the VIN of the vehicle into the contract.

  Nope
  
  Fit = Made In Japan (For Japan's Domestic Use - JDM)
  Jazz = Made In Japan (Re-named Jazz brand for export overseas)
  
  We are strictly talking on Fit/Jazz cars registered in Singapore only.

  personally would go for a Fit from one of the bigger PIs.. coz I would like the 1.5 vtec unit... and manual..

  Absolutely.
  
  So do not be misled by the difference of engine cc classification of both Jazz (1.4l) & Fit (1.3l). They are on the same engine, but with Fit tecnically having a slight horsepower advantage over Jazz (negligible difference though)

  Individual preference. Considering the price of 1.5 vtec is close to the Civic price bracket, it's no surprise really where consumers heads would turn to

  i still find it absurd that a manual costs more than an auto.
