that is very important to spot cars coming from the left or right... as the A-pillars of today's car are getting bigger and fatter, providing an even bigger blind spot. Don't understand some ppl go and mask that window black

Oh, I understand how it helps already, but I think its more applicable to look out for oncoming traffic when making turns.
