actually ... its the show factor. why spend more than a million bucks to hide your car in some corner? plus, most owners are used to the fact that hotels let them park right outside their location so they can be seen getting in/out of their car. also, if you tell a traffic warden your car cant go in a carpark, fit in a lot etc, he will believe you ... (yes, tried before). i dont speak for the other owners but its a general sentimentOriginally posted by CDL:i don't know if its been mentioned but now that it comes to mind, i think that we're spotting lambo's in very odd parking spaces for one main reason. ground clearance. is the LP640 much lower than the other lambos? i'm guessing its the reason because the buildings they're sometimes seen randomly parked under probably only have basement car parks and they might of come across a certain top gear episode that may of made them very aware of this issue
so maybe the owners aren't showing off but would rather not risk experiencing a loud *clonk* followed by them looking in their rear view finding their exhaust system on the floor.
don't know about u guys but i owned something that beautiful i'd be scared to get it anywhere near a speed bump
anyway just a guess.
That's a 645Ci, im fine with the kit and rims, but what's with that M6 badge.Originally posted by yongboyboy:

Hmm... if you're rich enough to own a car that is "so big that it cannot fit in a carpark lot" then you would most probably tell the traffic warden to go away and that you will pay the parking fine... You wouldnt spend time explaining to him and trying all sorts of nonsense just to try not to get fined...Originally posted by DcR:actually ... its the show factor. why spend more than a million bucks to hide your car in some corner? plus, most owners are used to the fact that hotels let them park right outside their location so they can be seen getting in/out of their car. also, if you tell a traffic warden your car cant go in a carpark, fit in a lot etc, he will believe you ... hahahaha no i quite agree, infact it might indirectly be the reason same reason why they got rich in the first place hahaha.Originally posted by DcR:you would be suprised as to how "cheap" rich people are. they are also human ... and like i said, such a low car provides a great excuse. and im telling you from personal experiencejust because someone owns a lamborghini doesnt mean they are willing to throw money around. one of the lambo owners has a few other cars but he buys quite a few second hand cars (non performance cars) when in fact he could afford those cars first hand ten times over without blinking an eye.
Yea man... heart wrenching to hear the undercarriage get scratched!Originally posted by Elysium7:Haha yeah and they had to rescue it using the wooden boards
I don't think many people realise just how little ground clearance these types of cars have, and how parking in underground carparks can pose such problems like getting over the bumps down slopes, and the transitions between the slopes and the flatground at the top or bottom. Sometimes we gotta give the owners some slack when we see them parked awkwardly

Well not quite in any danger from being stolen, but sometimes leaving the top down is an invitation to some very jealous people. I've read some Ferrari owners tell stories of leaving their cars with the top down, only to come back and find a drink thrown into the car all over the seats, chewing gum on the seats or just in general rubbish thrown inOriginally posted by tomsss:tell me, how to steal a Ferrari steering wheel without damaging it?![]()

I know that many people who own expensive cars must have been born in a rich family... but not all mah.... there must be quite a lot who are capable enough to earn a supercar for him/herself....Originally posted by sand king:i really appreciate Ferraris, so yes.
if you get to own on in your lifetime means you were born with a silver spoon.
