At least biodiesel is a renewable resource.... Petroleum is not...
Also, the energy used to make biodiesel can be derived from clean energy sources, like solar or wind power. But of course Singapore is still ill-equipped when it comes to clean energy sources. Perhaps the government should build solar panels on every buildings since Singapore is so sunny. Or someone can invent a windmill which has solar-cells on the propellers. Then the windmill can get energy from the sun or wind. Haha.
