hey bro, the price that you have quoted is way above the price i have with me from Performance Motors. It's going for $480,000 only, way much cheaper than what you have said.Originally posted by bernardy4416:Hi the_fallen,
I don't think Performance Motors brings in the M5 on a regular basis. However, I have seen serveral parallel importers advertising a new M5 for approximately $500,000.00 per vehicle.
Please note that parallel importers may offer a 1 yr warranty vs 3 yrs from Performance Motors. Of course, there are savings to be had by purchasing from a parallel importer.
The new M5 is a 500bhp vehicle. Power comes at a cost, so expect it to consume fuel at a very high rate. You can get it's specifications from the YAHOO.com "Autos" site.
Performance is great. There was a head to head contest with a Ferarri in one of the car magazines sometime in July 2005. The M5 beat it in all categories. Acceleration, handling, braking, etc....
Cost of maintenance is also going to be high. However, I don't think anybody who is willing to shell out half a million dollars for a car is going to be very concerned about that.
Road tax is going to be high. Petrol consumption is going to be high. Insurance is also going to be high.
Bernard

For real? if you were really interested in buying an ///M5 you wouldn't have bothered to ask whats the FC like nor ask how much you have to spend on fuel or parking or servicing for that matter.Originally posted by the_fallen:anyone here who drives a BMW M5?

No test drives allowed for the M5 on public roads but only track tests at a neighbouring country.
Maybe you were trying to find out about the Mazda 5 insteaD? lol.
