Do I really need to pay toll when going JB?

When you go out of Woodlands to go JB, at Singapore immigration there is this box you will be asked to pay the Toll.
But there are no LTA representative other than the camera, ICA officer is not legally empowered to "force" you to pay the toll.
There was once my passport got irregularity and was asked to drive aside. Then I told the ICA ppl i haven't pay the toll. He said, "never mind one lah"
So my passport issue was cleared and i went over JB without paying the toll.
Till today, no word from LTA.
So .. does it mean.. we are given the impression to pay but actualy no one is enforcing it? -
Hmmm, I think the immigration officers in the booth must make sure you actually insert the card into the payment unit before he/she proceed with the checkingof passport.
Went to Jb the other day, at thats what I noticed ...

He didn't think you will be cleared mah, and its a hassle if your car got stuck there to wait for you to pay a stupid toll. He also gan cheong, so just anyhow say never mind lar. Every time I go through customs there, they always make sure I pay one leh.
Why don't you create another irregularity in your passport, try the customs and tell us again? -

Malaysia you cannot don't pay, because they actually have a representative from their Highway company to collect money from you.

Not really leh. There was once i forgot to pay and the immigration still process my passport. I skipped once too...... been for 6mths already and no letter from LTA.
Its only $1.20... forget it... just pay and go to prevent any nonsense from LTA.
Tuas is $3.40 if i remember correctly.
Total cost for woodland
S$1.20 + Rm$2.60 ( 1 time payment )
Tuas
S$3.40 + Rm$8.60 + Rm $1.00 ( Both way in and out each time )
