Hi guys,
need your advice here. im a first time car buyer. been looking at a FIT/JAZZ. prices have been dropping...
went to both PI and Kah, but cant really decide what is really good. Can you all advise? especially those who have bought from PIs, anyone to recommend?
i went to a pi and was quoted abt $51.8k for the FIT before cash rebate. Jazz is somewhere retailing abt $55k. So if i were to take the FIT which the PI promises, would it a good deal?
i dunno what other questions to ask, but if u all can help, would be most glad!

thanks pyjamasgirl for suggesting the forums. cos actually u know im looking at 2 hatches. one is either the jazz/fit or the swift which have both versions.
vanquish - ur ans is as good as mine. i also wonder if pi not so good how come so much wish on the road? what in what way safer?
t.ryouske may be true, spare part prob, may have to bang table, but alot of pi firms, they say they top 50 or so. i did went to one pi firm and they say they top promising companies in sg. so maybe that may be a booster cos he also said, local car comps also never get such awards.

i just want to make good comparisons. would be nice if any pi car owner can give me some tips on what makes them want to buy. cos u see now coe so low, i will consider it a car buyer market. i have the choice. but being a car idiot, just want to know if i can save money now, will i save money later. cos they say both cars are typically the same. so why local agents can mark up cars so high. are they making too much money out of us?

PI need to sell cheaper to attract more customers. who will buy from PI if its more exp than AD? theres more risks than ADs.
TWC is toyota wish club. pple have no choice since Borneo Motors doesnt carry Wish and its a $60k +/- MPV. relatively cheap and good looking though thats subjective.
SHC is singapore honda club. again pple have no choice but to turn to PI for the JDM (Japan Domestic Model) Accord CL7. Kah Motor's accord is far uglier and made in thai. and if u love the CL7R, which is the Accord Euro R, u have no choice but to turn to PIs. so its not that PIs are popular, its just that the silly ADs choose not to bring in certain models and pple who love the mentioned models have no choice but to turn to PIs.

PIs may have higher OMV. and may be cheaper. i dun deny that. but do lots of homework, i mean LOTS, before committing. if u bothered to read the threads above, its a shitty feeling to spend $$ on something that doesnt arrive on time as promised. worse still when u have traded in or scraped ur car and u have no car to use. or even worse the car is delivered already, only for some jokers to tow it away although u thought u had paid for it.
im not PI or AD agent. so dun ask me who to recommend. but if u r keen on getting PI fit or swift, go into the respective car clubs and ask for recommendations. or even for specific agents who handled transactions well. im sure u will receive help. but becareful of pple who are actually agents and recommend themselves to u in forum. -
I visited many PI and those web site as mention, end of the day you discover this: Those qoute very low price please beware, nothing is free in this world.
Cheap thing wouldn't be good, and good thing wouldn't come cheap. -

Pinnacle i thnk.. not sure. The toyota wish is going for 69k, with bodykit, 16 inch sports rims, fog lamp, xenon lights, tv inside the car, and one more i dunno wat it is called (the plastic thing sticked to the window top to shelter from rain)... so many free things, surely attracts u to buy huh? in the end dun have the prefered colour available, so nv buy in the end...

the thing about cars these days are that they are full of electronics and sensitive parts and PIs do not have the equipment to repair certain sensitive parts. A friend's father brought in an MB E240 via PI and it developed several problems including one where the radio was stuck at 92.4 and couldnt be changed. PI tried everything and suggested to remove the radio and ship back to germany or something la, basically it was a big hassle. my friend's dad finally relented, went to C&C where he literally had to beg them for service ... and dont forget - PIs can open,close and change their names in the blink of an eye. Saving $4k now might seem tempting, but resale will be a problem too. My advice is to just stick with ADs ...

69k isnt cheap for a wish. and that thing is called a visor??
yes i agree with T. Ryo. dun go around looking for cheapest one. get from a reliable company.
hmmm if theres option between PI and AD, for me i'll definitely choose AD. even if its slightly more exp. less troubles. -

actually im doing alot of research thats why im asking around for opinions. but i have to admit that pi have alot of choice leh, like variants. what i like is choice. but their models they carry also not bad leh. i think the toyota bb quite fierce looking. like a mini transformer car haha. but i think pretty ex. if price lower maybe can still consider. and its only 1.3. maybe PI has more freebies to offer. u know i went to the Kah motor one, took sometime before anyone came up to me.....
T.Ryousuke - but true la, sometimes low prices doesnt mean u get a good deal. but alot of times its cos of the cash rebate i think? but overall i think the pi might just offer a better deal over the AD if we press on abit. i mean there are so many fit and jazz around and they got similar parts so i believe the servicing part is covered liao.
Vanquish - but of course must be safe la. wish at abt 69k quite cheap for a mpv but i doubt it comes with all that stuff. i went to see the fit and it was like nicer than the one in kah but the salesman say alot are optional and not what u see. but they had this interesting dvd player cum rev cam as free. offered by pinnacle leh. guys u know i went to auto magic. and then i saw so many pinnacle cars like ready to be delivered. dun tell me they come from the same gang and it doenst matter who i buy it from. but then they all have diff price.
DcR - nowadays hardly hear of pple buying merc thru PI huh. but i think its cos of the euro. but u know i happen to see one merc in a pi shop i went to. actually u may be right but u know there are so many jap cars around and i think they more easy to repair than euro models. less advance equipment le.
well, anyone who has bought from PI can give me some tips and tell me more, would be more than happy to hear abt ur buying experience...
