I have been driving my Matrix for about 3.5 years now. Enjoy the drive as it is comfortable although fuel consumption is high. Had never gone to Komoco until two weeks ago as I found the sharp screeching sound in my front brake a bit unbearable after two years.. First time going there and was there in the morning at 9am. Had to wait for about an hour before queue number is up. Told them my problem and also want to check brake balancing and alignment. Told them I need the car by 5 pm. They told me I can collect my car about 4 to 5 pm.
I called them about 4.15 to check I can collect car and they told me they haven't even started checking my car!! I was furious as I need to collect it by 5. I wanted to cancel it but they say they will do it immediately and asked me to go there at 5pm. I turned up at 5 and was told that they had checked the brake and not the rest of the items I asked for. I decide to pay up ($75.00) and get on with it thinking that the sound will be gone. But the problem is still there.
I wrote in to complain and asked for refund and they called me to say no refund but can do my car again. They say will arrange with me but three days already and they haven't got back to me. Can you blame me if I call them crook? -
my gosh! now at least i appreciate tan chong.. haha.. you should not hv wasted ur time writing in.. in spore write in nobody care one la.. mus go there, "jump queue", bang table, call for manager (refuse to talk to anyone more junior).. manager sure can solve for you one.. haha..

My main purpose is to let everyone here know what kind of crook they are and they can made a decision if they decide to buy Hyundai. My wife and I decided to change car. The decision is easy now.. now like you I am getting from Tan Chong. Not that I care about the service failure from Hyundai when my Latio is coming. But there is a need to let innocent people know that there are crook in big organisation. -

tell you a real story:
komoco service standard suck really.
i did email my complaint about my steering wheel not balance.
full left and right turning angle is different. brand new car ok. lol. it is really a laughing stock ...
then a customer service fellow responsed. he ask that i send my car for rectification and that his manager will be around. at that time , i say im not free,.
we agreed to postpone this until later date. after 3 month, i email the same customer service guy saying i wish to bring in my car for rectification. then , there is no reply. sickening.
anyway, go for the second servicing. ..i send in the car at 8am++... told the technical officer about the wiper problem, steering wheel ...and so on ... he say the car will be ready at 12pm. i was pretty impressed with their speed of getting things done! hoeever, komoco only call me to collect car at 4.30pm++
and not a word of sorry for the delay...(not that i hard up for their apology..if delay a bit, i can accept, at least be sincere about their file up la). then the
steering wheel prob is not rectify. the technical officer say he will send immediately to the workshop to get it done, i wait for about 1/2 hours. after the car return from the workshop, the sterring wheel issue is still not rectify.
i fed up liao. say next time and drove off.
Komoco.... sad for them. -
not only komoco la. there are other AD workshops which are poor too

Ya.. regretted .. but at least I know I am not the worst off.. I am collecting my Latio next week. Hopefully, their service is no where near Komoco .... err, why you call yourself " Mitsubishi hater "? I thought Mitsubishi is a good car. so .. like me, you are driving a matrix... sigh "tian ya tong ming niao"... ok... but my lancer was like 10 years back liao ... that time mine was 1.3 ... no problem.. Actually went to see a lancer before ordering the Latio .. find the engine not so quite although cheaper ... so many complain, must have their reason.. so how about Latio, any of this kind of complain ??Originally posted by Mitsubishi hater:

i heard frm tc machanic tt latio, like all newer cars today tend to squeak due to losely joined parts tho..
ie. dashboard rattle/ squeak n stuff..
but engine n stuff no prob 1..

but ppl say nissan engine sometime noisy or rough handling.

Last week I wrote to Komoco again and voice my unhappiness again. Also "suan" them for not following up for the whole of last week. They called me on Monday and today I send in my car again. They even give me a service car to drive in the mean time.
Today, they were very polite and fast. They called twice to report the progress and explain what they are going to do. Finally, they say to change my brake pad to stop the screeching sound but my brake pad is less than 6 months old and I refused. I was warned that the sound will be there. I thought if the service the brake disc so even if I don't change there should be no problem.
So I collected my and drive off. My my .... the screeching sound is even worst. I do not know what to say anymore .... BUT I would like to add that I appreciate the effort they did this time round even though it had not actually solve my original problem ... Anyway, this is good bye to Komoco as I will be collecting my new car next week . Thanks to everyone for your feedback here... and for reading this topic..
