Slow drivers please keep to the left lah!!!!

Everytime when I drive on the Expressway, I felt like giving those slow drivers driving at 70km/h - 80 km/h in the middle lane a kick in the butt. Especially during peak hours, they are hogging the road although they are not driving at the extreme right lane. Although you can overtake them on the right, the bottleneck effect as a result causes traffic to build up behind them.
So please be considerate hoh. If for any reasons you don't have the confidence to drive at 90 km/h, please drive on the extreme left with the rest of the lorries, trucks, etc. Then we will have a smoother flow on the Expressway and we won't end up having ERP everywhere...

Personally, I feel that doing 80 on the middle lane is okay... It's not really that slow wat... and if you want to do 90 and above, go to the right lane where everyone else is doing that... you wont be slowed down by them... the left lane is for lorries and buses who are going at around 70....
How can you consider cars going at 80 as road hoggers when the speed limit on major expressways is only 90? Furthermore, they are not even on the right lane... -

Not being impatient lah... if you have to be on the road frequently and during peak hours, you know know what I mean by the bottleneck effect. When the lanes are crowded...some people have the mentality that if I'm not on the rightmost lane, I can drive at the speed I'm comfortable with, if you want to go faster, then overtake me on the right loh..even when there is no lorry/truck on the leftmost lane, they will happily cruise along the middle lane....
Next time you come across such a driver, take a look at your rearview mirror, and you know why it just take one slow moving vehicle even in the middle lane to cause a bottleneck...whereas in front of him/her, the roads are clear..
The situation is make even worse by drivers that hog the rightmost lane....
Just my observations... when I started driving and not confident at going at 90 kmh, I'll keep to the leftmost lane unless overtaking slow moving truck/lorries... -
i think nowadays got more and more vans and class 3 lorries like to be on the middle lanes which are travelling like slightly faster than those bigger vehicles. i think they should just slow down and follow the bigger vehicles on the extreme left loh.
but then again, we're living in a fast moving country where everyone is rushing for time. heck it! -
since u are SO confident of driving at 90KM/H... Y care those driving 80 at middle lane? YOU can ALWAYS OVERTAKE them on the RIGHT lane.. no skill to do it?

actually, it'll be better if the authorities give a guideline on the spd to use at diff lanes. i also feel tt some pple are just like hogging the rds. this is my impression aft looking through the highway code.
Left lane: 50-80km/h
Middle lane: 80-89km/h
Right lane: 90km/h (of cos nd some lee-way in case of emergency situations la.) -
If u have the skillls of taxi uncles... just sway in and out of the lanes to overtake..
taxi uncles skill are superb
(even thou they often cause road hazards.. i still tink they are skillful) -
hmm when i get realli pissed at the road hoggers, i overtake them at an available opportunity and go in front of them then brake slowly until like 30km/h, forcing them to slow to a crawl before picking up speed and driving off.
its sorta giving them a taste of their own medicine. but i onli do that to those who hog the right most lane. -

people cruising on the middle lane at 80 is alright.

What a joke. Look at all those vans and lorries travelling at only 60kmph or even less at the left most lane. I even saw many oil/chemical tankers hogging the middle lane on the AYE.
Come on, just tolerate those slower drivers. Just overtake them if you feel that they are just too slow. Anyway, the road does not belong to your grandpa.

2) actually some roads belong to some pple's grandfather.. straits times ran an article about this once.. the decendants / grandchildren of pple like the aljunied guy, the boon lay guy etc. are alive and in our generation now.. so to them - yes, it is their grandfather's road. (aljunied road etc.)

personally i think if u are the at extreme right lane, no matter how fast u are, be it 100km/h, 150 or 200km/h. if there is a car behind u, and they are faster than what u are travellin at, u should give way. thats what i personally feel.
doesnt matter if the freeway is 90km/h or 110km/h or what.
and also try to keep to the middle lane if possible.
i have seen taxi drivers, hoggin the extreme right lane at 100km/h. yup u can say he is speedin, but if u look at the back of his taxi, ther are like 4-6 cars all so much faster, but yet they are still stuck behind.
dun road hog. thats the best.
