What to ask from Sales Representative?

Hi,
I'm thinking of getting a lancer manual sport and will be getting 20K loan @2.88% for 1 or 2 years.
I'm will be asking for solar film and cash rebate from the sales rep.
Can anyone advise me on how much cash rebate I can ask for?
I also note that the insurance quoted is around 1.8K (from AIG) where it is around 1.6K for jazz and 1.4K for avante for my age. According to hyundai sale rep, it is because more repairs are required during accident as the car's body is softer. Can anyone confirm this?

You are not entitled for cash rebate. Usually those who loan let's say 45k and above then they are entitled for cash rebate.Originally posted by Unauthorised:Hi,

If you opt for the cash rebate, the interest rate with be 3.5% and above. -
I can ask the sale rep to give me some "discount" from his own pocket. How much should I ask for?

Lancer is now selling at a low margin liao leh...
Per car only earn 600 commission.
On the average cycle is earning 7-8k profit per car liao... very low margin.
Y not wait another 6 mths when the new lancer comes out.. 1.5mivec. lolz..
Heard the starting price is around 53k. -
I don't like front look of the new lancer, but the main consideration is the price.
The SE told me the new lancer will be priced close to 60K and it is expected that the COE will go up in the next few months.
I'm also considering jazz(53K), I still like the manual lancer after test driving both cars.
Anyone has any complain on manual lancer after driving it for sometime? So far I only know that it is using old engine. Is it reliable?

Well... for a start... the SOHC engine is really old school. If you are looking for a normal drive car, lancer shouldn't be a problem. Space wise is ok, design... lots of ways to body kit it up. Just look at the ancester, 97 Lancer MR. That is one of the few cars that can play with ESI or SIR. With some mod, taking on a EG wouldn't be a problem. But too bad, no more MR manual on the road now, left the auto only.
I've been driving the lancer for the past 2 1/2" yrs and up to now, theres no problem with it except that its a noisy engine. Very loud when on high rpm compare to other similar catogery. With Open pod, lagi jialat. Like a lion roar.
Sound loud, but not fast enough...
