Fines on weekend car plates??

  hi i'm rather new here and i dun reali know abt cars.. but i got a question.. do anyone of u out the know the fine for driving a weekend car during normal hours and using used coupons?? i have a fren kanna fine bcos of that.. so like to ask if anyone know the amount he likely to pay??

  ha, fined for using used coupon? dont think its tat bad compared to tampering with the coupon!
  
  the max fine is 20k loh...
  
  but might need to spend time in jail too leh.

  I hate red-platers... Especially those who cheat... Save so much on road tax liao still want to cheat...
  
  Anyway I think for first time offenders, it wont be too harsh... Your fren can go and plead with them... maybe it will help...

  Wah... he tampered with the coupon? This is quite serious leh... It's actually cheating... I think most probably got to go court liao...

  if yr friend was found tamper with used coupon or whatever, it was a serious offence, cheating case, mostly court case, fine can up to S$20k or jail. If never put coupon, check any thing mentioned at the back of coupon, it could be from few thousands S$ to the pay back value of normal plate car - red plate car... I also not sure, just heard from friends.

  depends on case to case basis, if 1st time, hes record is clean, maybe 2k fine, i got friend fine 1k b4, thats the lowest i think, jail is the worst.
  
  dun take the risk, and never temper with the coupon. i rather drive w.o coupon then tamper with the coupon.

  Because of $20, he tampered with the coupon... may end up paying $10-$20k... then what's the whole point of having a red plate car? You want to save money... You want to cheat... You get your desserts...

  actuali is his fren ask him to take red plate de.. but nvm lo.. will see how when the court letter come le den can say le... but thanks for all ur replies..
