if ya talking about replacing the key to a continental car, then prepare to fork out a hundred or more. such keys can only be ordered from dealers, and they'll need some info about your car as well for them to order the correct key for your car direct from manunfacturer. that process alone can range from a few days or up till a week or if unlucky, a few weeks for a wrong key that came. then once the key has arrived, they'll need to program your car to syncronise the key to the car so that it can start it. that's labour charges which you cant avoid.
however there may be other places which they claim that they can duplicate and program a new key.... i know of one in turf city, forgot the name of the shop though.... have to check with them if they can do it.
Correct.. except some continental car dealers will take a few weeks to get the keys in.. i was quoted a few hundred coz i cannot find my security code.
I think i'll go check out turf city shop.
