dual exhaust suitable for auto trans?

Hi, i was thinking that is it possible that a dual exhaust systems can be installed on to my accord'06, what is the possible disadvantage and advantages of installing it,by the way is it legal to mod exhaust?
by the way is there any hurricane filter user that can share experience with me? what is the advantage and disadvantages of it

Modifying the exhaust is not a problem as long as the catalyst and mufflers complies with LTA's regulations..Get exhaust pipes with minimal back pressure and you can gain about 5-8 more bhp..haha..and when u say dual exhaust, do you mean there's two exhaust pipes poking out from the rear bumper? It's definitely possible as long as there's such an exhaust system for your Accord..

haha i was saying those type that euroR have, because i was thinking that euroR's exhuast fit's my accord ma.
the only think i scared of is the lower end suffers , then like abit not worth it liaoz lae.. -
Haha..then it's simple..find the exhaust you wanna fit on your car and ask the company that does the mod for you whether it fits or not..lol..your's is which Accord? The Made-In-Thailand one or the Euro version? Haha..

yes it's possible to fit a dual exhaust if yours is CL7A..have many choices to choose from..CL7R's exhaust..fujitsubo..hks..mugen..your low-end will suffer but some tuning will help yr low-end gain back..for hurricane filter ..it's just another normal drop-in filter which many varities to choose from again..K&N,simota,spoon..etc..i guess yours must be CL7A so drop-in filter would be more recommended unless you going for full close up intake like GruppeM,mugen..etc..also normally some would choose hurricane cause it's washable not like K&N when you have to oil it which cost alot more...hope this will clear some of yr questions.Originally posted by 50338:Hi, i was thinking that is it possible that a dual exhaust systems can be installed on to my accord'06, what is the possible disadvantage and advantages of installing it,by the way is it legal to mod exhaust?

Correction. GruppeM is not what you would call "full close up". It's a K&N cone with a heat shield (not box). Away from the engine bay, it is essentially open pod in the fender area so it's a no no for CL7A if low-end is important. Mugen is a closed air box, better for low-end. But the Mugen intake system will cost 3-4 times the cost of Euro R exhaust... because hurricane i just installed it u see, and that i scared that the filter might not be as good as some other bros that have mention, so tht is why wanna ask some bros abt hurricane filter lor, -

not all GruppeM is SRI...
GruppeM will produce the optimal intake for different car makes/model..
for example.. if their engineers feel that the euro-r should use SRI, they will produce SRI for it and not close box set up or whatever.. if i'm not wrong, you wont be able to find other than the SRI for the CLZR from GruppeM..
i myself is using a GruppeM on my car, using a SRI too..
great sound.. nice high end..
