Getting rid of scratches

  I was driving recently and when I was reversing into a parking lot I grazed a concrete pillar slightly. Now my car has some scratches. haix
  
  I managed to remove the white paint but now the scratches are of a dark silver color while the rest of the car is of a lighter silver colour. I suspect its more of the paint coming off. The scratches are about 5cm long and got quite a couple of them. Any advise on getting them off? Whats the most effective solution and roughly how much isit?
  
  Thanks. Can I DIY or must bring to workshop?

  Most car polishing products have slight abrasive functions... you can try to polish off those scratches...
  
  If not, then bring to a professional car polishing centre and ask them for opinions... if you're lucky, they should be able to polish it off for you... but if the scratches are too deep, then i think they'll need to do a re-spray of that particular panel.... usually < $200

  Its not deep. Just alittle discoloration of the paint I guess...
  
  If you pour some water on it, you cant even really detect the scratches. Any polishing suggestion? don't think it warrants going to respray. I'll see if I can get a pic up.
