Advantages and Disadvantages

  Diesel Engine
  Advantages=more torque than similar size petrol engine,better fuel economy,strong components to withstand high compression(can be turbocharged w/o changing internal parts).
  Disadvantages=heavy and bulky,noisier than petrol engine,longer time to start for cold season and engine knocks until warms up.produce black soot
  
  Petrol Engine
  Advantages=lightweight,smooth idling when cold start(no knock),better acceleration(due to higher rpm den diesel engine),easy starting when cold.
  Disadvantages=may overheat if left idling too long,need more maintainence(spark plug,distributor..)
  
  Turbocharger
  Advantages=strong boost,use waste to convert to energy(exhaust gas),easier to install than supercharger.
  Disadvantages=lag(need higher rpm to get boost than supercharger),need to change components(bigger injectors,ecu,stronger piston,crankshaft)
  
  Supercharger
  Advantages=boost at low rpm,almost no lag
  Disadvantages=uses engines energy(belt driven),troublesome to install,troublesome maintainence
  
  Smaller rim diameter
  Advantages=better acceleration
  Disadvantages=loses top speed
  
  Removing spare tire
  Advantages=improves power to weight ratio(better acceleration)
  Disadvantages=call tow truck if have flat tire
  
  Racing clutch
  Advantages=No clutch slip if engine have too much power
  Disadvantages=heavy to step

  Modify engine
  Advantage : can yaya papaya to friends driving same range of cc
  disadvantage : tons of summon, cannot go out in the night, cfm tio stop at ROV roadblock
  
  Tinted windows
  Advantage : can hanky panky in car at east coast last carpark
  disadvantage : must tear every year before going for inspection
  
  HID headlights
  Advantage : shine hor li si
  disadvantages : must take down every year, siam ROV

  Advantages:
  1) Power when you need it, why? Electricty does not have to combus.
  2) Environmentally Friendly
  
  Disadvantages:
  1) Slow Market
  2) Bad Designs

  Doesn't happen anymore with new engines, especially the last one.
