juz now was walking around... then look inside the arcade and see all those ginas play max tune....
then i thought of R34skyliner...
then i see them change gear and gek a lan jiao seh machiam like really can drive liddat... then while changing gear their foot is firmly on the acc and left foot not doing work..
then i wonder if this is a real manual car how the gearbox will sound...
seriously they really self deluded... i dunno whether to laugh or ke lian them... -

the only driving arcade game that i felt most realistic was the Ferrari F355 Challenge. Not the one with 4-link players, but the single unit that has a 6-speed box and clutch pedal. Real as it was... i think it was too real and freaking hard to play it

i got play also wad....lol but then again i've got the music from the game to listen to in my car stereo its fun la but in moderation...i dont see y some ppl take it so seriously abt winning as if its the world 2 them and resort 2 banging etc...sigh...makes me shrudder 2 think that will they do that in real life if they can go until that exntent in the game

true, my friend always claim he know how to control a manual car, and drive better then me, so i loan him a lousy proton saga (manual) from my uncle, and he manage to move less then 10 meters after 5 mins.

yup..its juz arcade built for fun..i played it too..so juz relax and haf fun..but for me battle gear 3 is much more realistic than maximum tune or initial d...i heard from a fren battle gear 4 have clutch and H gear shifters..should be fun..

its totally diff from driving real cars of course. i looked at those punks play like so shiok.. so i got myself a card, and paid like 10 bucks?.. dont remember.. i picked the sti and managed to upgrade the ecu.. hahah fun la.. but no where near the real one that i drive..

I was an arcade freak.. was an Initial D player, since 5yrs ago,
since Ver1 to Ver3 now.
Spent tonnes of $ in it.. should i say more than $5k on tat game.
Yea, u heard me right.. more than $5k...
& joined teams, participated in competitions, break records,
& ppl look up to me as a pro..
but now wad do i get in e end?
Tat was e childish & foolish me back then..
some of u guys will know who i am.
Thinkin back.. $5k can pay deposit for real car or pay for studies.

Only den i realised i've spent my $ & time for moments of empty merry.
Nothing like e real car.
Realised if u drive real car... PLS dont get too imersed in those games..
it'll slowly but surely affect your driving in real life,
givin u a fake sense of speed & worsen your sense of judgement on e road
in real life.
Those kids can play all they can afford,
but i can safely say they'll never make safe drivers on e roads,
until they hav e right perception of wad is virtual & wad is real life,
where lives r at stake.
I still enjoy playing Ferrari F355 (wif gear & clutch) once awhile,
but still... tat's nothing close to driving real life.

The kids can corner at 140kmh, or in e case of MaximumTune, 250kmh above,
cause e game is programmed to handle those corners at TAT speed...
but your real car chasis & tyres can't, & will give way.
Tat's wad i call distorted sense of speed.

nOx.. your question..
if u depress accl & change gear on MT cars,
u hav to depress clutch.
Depressing both clutch & accl.. rpm will shoot up. Will hear your engine roar..
& once let go clutch, rpm will drop, & engine sound is back to normal

hey hey guys actually there is a game tat is somewhat a simulation of real world driving , which is the battle Gear 4 , it uses clutch and manual stick which is just like a real driving,(those who stay at woodland can go CWP there see see at the arcade there. it also uses key to start.... haha
but at the end of the day... hehe game is a game la , driving real cars is really big big diff thingy.... ^_^ heehehe

I won't comment on Battle Gear 4 much since I haven't played it... but I have tried F355 with the 6 speed H shifter and clutch... and that was after I got my class 3... its still quite hard to play... cos you don't get the sense of speed... plus no G forces too... can't really gauge how hard you're braking and all that...
Just because a game has a H shifter and clutch, still doesn't mean that its realistic... the physics might be off... after all, it is still a racing game... the most realistic game I've played so will still has to be Gran Turismo 4... not even the newer racing games on other consoles can beat it... and believe me... I've tried them too... nothing comes close...
I'm just waiting for GT HD to come out for the PS3.. heh... -

well kids when they grow up they will understand what is real and virtual (hopefully) so by all means if they feel that they are the king of the world , hehe then by all means let them be, because it is just a state of their life that they are going tru as kids-- naive to mature.
