the car that you're driving will split into 2. will not happen to other ppl... only you special case will lidatOriginally posted by rookies:what would happen if i step on the brake and accelerator pedal together on an auto car?
When you jam on your brakes, ABS helps you stop the car within the shortest possible distance without locking the wheels, so as to prevent the car from skidding.Originally posted by safetyleo:anyway, how many of you try ABS before, either have a near accident or just purposely test it whether it is functioning?
note that vw transmission uses dual clutch pads instead of what the usual torque convertor...Originally posted by zerocool85:apparently it wont spoil ur car... it just increases wear and tear rate..
and.. for fast launches for automatics.. they do that method.. seen and taught by drift king from best motoring japan..
the method from what i see was as follow..
1. depress brake pedal as much as possible
2. depress accelerator as much as possible.
3. shift to neutral and give it a hard rev.. the brake pedal will allow u to depress even more
4. repeat step 2 with brake pedals still depressed.. (rev will go up higher than step 2)
5. release the brake pedal and zoom u go..
this was done on the new VW Golf GTi... however, accelerator pedal must inch off from 100% throttle to about 70% to get maximum acceleration... as 100% would give too much wheelspin.. (yes... automatic doing wheelspin..)
if ur car not powerful enuf.. den don expect wheel spin hor..
usual torque convertor also can do ma.. just don rev so high lor...Originally posted by n0x:note that vw transmission uses dual clutch pads instead of what the usual torque convertor...
u like that say later all the gina siao siao go and try on some sunny or altis or mz 3....![]()
no golf GTI uses DCG... dual clutch plates.... go read it up...Originally posted by zerocool85:usual torque convertor also can do ma.. just don rev so high lor...
DSG also involve torque convertor ma..
but....
its a heavy duty and better one![]()
its the same thing... DSG is short for Direktschaltgetriebe... dcg is my own short form for Dual clutch gearbox.... but one thing is for sure... they do not use torque convertor... golf gti is famous for its transmisson..Originally posted by WhamBamTyMam:I also thought vw golf have DSG not DCG.
if your brakes are in good condition your car will stop or not move if already stopped. braking forces will overcome throttle/accleration forces every time.Originally posted by rookies:what would happen if i step on the brake and accelerator pedal together on an auto car?
