if you frequently drive about 200km/h then it helps add downforce lor. sometimes i wonder why those cars with puny engines still go add a big GT wing.
maybe they use it to dry their clothes. -

if you want to go fast in a straight line, it's just added drag...
if you want to corner at 120, you will need the downforce..
but then, who the heck corners at 120 on the streets? -
It totally doesn't help if your car happens to be a honda city, regardless of which year model.

I have a factory spoiler on mine .... it does nothing, except make your car look good and block part of your rear view ... -

If the car's aerodyamics allows for very large downforce and the speed is high enough, the car can actually travel upside down on the roof of let's say a tunnel? Reason is simple - The downforce generated is greater than the car's own weight... Gravity is defied... Hahahaha but in this context, it should be "upforce" instead...

Why it is called spoiler?
Your car is designed without flaps or wings, adding them spoil the design. Also wear out your rear tyres faster. Block your rear view. Cause wind drag and therefore increase fuel consumption. Reduce the peoples' estimation of you. And most important of all, after a while the novelty of it wears off, and you yourself will feel stupid about it. It is attractive when you do not have it, but no big deal when you do have it.
That's why it is called spoiler. -

i think it does nothing at low speeds. but i was told by KM SE that it could increase the top speed by another 10 or 20 km/h..... but most cars are speed limited at 180, so why then??? and in sg, going at 120 means losing ur licence.....
