Blow off valve and exhaust

Anyone knows where i can install blow off valve and change to LTA approved exhaust pipe

i did my Remus exhast at Fong Kim long time ago. I got another friend who did his HKS exhast at Garage R. They will help you apply for the approval from LTA as well. But i guess you can go to any company that does exhast works and they will be happy to apply the approval for you if they sell LTA approved exhast.

not sure if BOV is approved though, from what i heard, i dun think it is approved yet. maybe someone can correct me if i am wrong.

Forget about BOV etc. Even if Singapore approve you, your car will be CONFISCATED in Malaysia.

I had just like to ask, where is a BOV installed and what does it do? Does it increases power or it's just for acoustics reasons?

A blowoff valve is a pressure release system present in turbocharged engines, its purpose is to prevent compressor surge and reduce wear on the engine.
Blowoff valves are used to prevent compressor surge. Compressor surge is a phenomenon that occurs when lifting off the throttle of a turbocharged car (with a non-existent or faulty bypass valve). When the throttle plate on a turbocharged engine running boost closes, high pressure in the intake system has nowhere to go. It is forced to travel back to the turbocharger in the form of a pressure wave. This results in the wheel rapidly decreasing speed and stalling. The driver will notice a fluttering air sound.

one thing i know...base of experience, I drove my cousin's S13 last time..once the blowoff kicks in...it causes turbo lag. no feeling when u push too hard... ahaha..need to install anti lag for him. yeah...thats what i know ah...put BOV will caused lag... correct me if im wrong

i have the understanding that BOV only works while u change gears, like 2 gear in transition to 3rd, or 3rd to 4th. It is only when the pressure is off the petrol and cluth is stepped, then the BOV kicks off the pressure. dun think it will cause turbo lag. this is the understanding from driving my friend's TC car.
Dun really know what other effects it have except for letting of the pressure. Only that it sounds sweet....

For sure i know its a sweet sound. and it has nth to do wif the clutch, u boost up and let go e accelerator den haf the pssst sound liao.. -
