clutch-less shift

heard it from my automotive teacher that a manual transmission vehicle can shift without the use of clutch pedal..he say match the rev or gearbox speed den shift..starting from a standstill obviously have to use the clutch pedal but after clutch engage, can shift without clutch pedal without damaging the gearbox if done right..at first i was shock and 50/50 believe him...then while reading a reality manga called "over rev" the old man was teaching his street racer students how to clutch-less shift then i believe my teacher..anyone tried it before? i wanna try it but still sayang the gearbox..hahah

if u are lazy... drive an auto instead....
clutches are there for a reason...

ever heard before...and ever see my friend done that before on a rented car and is by luck...but on the process of learning i think you will destroy alot of gearbox

Well, just be prepared to pay a bomb for your manual gearbox then you can try it..

erm....
ive done that before.. ive never gotten a chance to try that on a petrol car before though..
it was on a diesel van.. i THINK diesel gearbox is more durable and so..
i worked as a delivery man for 7mths before entering NS.. drove a few vans and ALL of them can do with ease..
i drove an average of 250km a day and change gears using that method if the roads are clear and easy to drive.. but for congested areas.. its easier to control using the clutch because u cant really match the rev of the vehicle..
and if u do watch bestmotoring videos, some have PIP of the pro racers shifting gears without stepping on the clutch..
and yeah, during the 7mths, the van gave no problems.. -

wah the procedure so lay chay one eh? might as well just use the clutch. use clutch very difficult meh? i dun recon this will get u any faster anyway. you got to time the change right then wait for the right moment. and worst of all, the fear of damaging ur clutch.

i believe more damage will be done to the transmission than to the clutch

to me it is one of the things that make manual transmission fun...rather than drive like usual(very boring rite)...find other things to play with..
