Hi guys, when TP sent the advisory letter(for speeding),do they date the letter the day of writing or expected arrival to recipent?
Coz a close family member of mine got one yesterday, but very wierd letter to us.
*The date was post-dated to 3/6/07. *The location of the "offense" was the street outside our house but the time indicated was when he was already in his workplace in Jurong area. And we're certain no one drove the car around that time(and outside our house somemore). *There was no name signed off at the bottom.Just "Officer blah blah"

if you see the future... you can save it!
keep the envelope with post mark date as evidence of some nonsense.

I think they dated the date 1 week after, could be the dispatch send out early. Anyway, not an issue, right? I receive government letters, some are practicing this way.
If you are saying at that date/time, you are sure the vehicle was not at that location...etc, either yr vehicle number plate was using by some one (another vehicle) or they noted the number plate wrongly. But seems the speeding evidence should be captured by camera....If you want to find out, write in and check...?

its a standard lah...becos for some offences, they need you to reply within 7 days whether you are the driver or not, so to prevent any dispute, they will give a few days in anticipation of delays becos of weekends or holidays lor. Like mine illegal left turn offence, I received on 18 May but dated 23 May.
