the architecture is similar to the ones used in 90s corollas if nt wrong.. but the similarity ends there.. the peripherals are all china-made.. i popped the bonnet of one.. everything looks so poor quality..and the boot is fastened by 2 large springs on each side of the hinges..

i went to china in 2005... way before the CK was brought here, and had a chance to peek into the engine bay of a CK.
realised something: when the bonnet is up, the front is like a S-class!

CAUTION:
be careful of china cars, especially geely brand. my husband was posted to shanghai for work and while there we bought a geely car. it was quite cheap, about 60,000 chinese renminbi (about 12,000 singapore dollars). less than a year and before clocking 10,000km, the car needed extensive overhaul. we had to write it off as a VERY bad investment.
