recently i got involved in an accident ... no 1 was hurt ... but the other party demanded to c my licence which i left it in my wallet which was in the locker of my camp ... den he accuse me driving without licence ... this is wat i wanna noe ...
I got a licence but i din bring it with me while driving , does it equal to driving w/o valid licence? ..

Kind of. At that point of time you couldn't show proof that you had one. You knew you left it somewhere, but thats there and then. If the tables are turned, and the other driver gave the same excuse, how would you feel?

It is an offence to be driving w/o ur license with u. No reason for the other driver to make such a fuss though. Count urself lucky there was no injuries, if TP was @ the scene then it would hv been a different story.

First and foremost, any accident with injury requiring ambulance at scene will have the TP or regular blues to come to file report. There in itself, they will ask for ur driving license to check validity..., not because they need ur IC no, same-same as license. When they ask and u say u dun hv it, then tio pok... So just remember to bring to be on the safe side. I dun think that guy will make a report to TP, unless he's a real ass.., in which case scratch his car...

What to do forgot to bring that mean forgot to bring.... he not happy also will not change anything. -
During a non-injury accident or accident not involving foreign vehicles and government vehicles, you do not need to make a police report. If you are not able to produce your licence or identity at that point of time, you are required under the law to maka a police report within 24 hours of the accident.
Don't care about what the other party says, be it no licence or not. Just note down his vehicle number and make a police report and you will be alright. -

did you actually sign any agreement at the point of accident?
if no, then there is no proof to support that you did not bring along your license and also no proof of the accident.
UNLESS, the accident got recorded by any cameras along the expressway.
who's fault was it to cause the accident? even if the other party claims to have a witness, the witness must be one that is NOT involved/related in the accident or drivers.
If a govt property/vehicle is involved, its an offence not to lodge a police report.
For non-injury cases, just have to fill up a form thru yr insurer for claims. -

As long as u got any form of govermnet issue ID then its allrite. If the other party suspect that u got no licence, tell him to call the police and tell the officer that he suspect that you got no licence and a police car will be dispacted down or on the phone the police will screen for him your driving licence. I understand that during accident if nobody is injured then police won't come down but as mentioned, if he suspect u got no licence then diff case.
Few mth back, My frd whose car was knock by a young guy and he suspect that the other party does not have a valid driving licence and my frd called the police and the reply from the police is, they screen the driving licence for him cos the other party got bring IC and so the police didn't come down.
If no IC and no Licence they police will come down. However under the NRA act, it is not an offence not to bring out your NRIC. During police spot check, if u got no NRIC, u can gave the police your NRIC num verbally unless the police suspect that u r giving him a fake NRIC num then they can bring you back to Police stn and wait for your family member OR someone to bring down your NRIC or other form of Singapore Goverment issued ID.
