Yeah actually the older Silver Spurs/Spirits have their chassis and body made from STEEL, which brings their weight to nearly 3 tonnes.Originally posted by sir_peanuts:rolls is rolls... only people who can truly afford can own one. just look at the road tax... and not to mention fuel consumption... 6750cc
I believe the road tax will tear our ass too.. 150%...Originally posted by tomsss:Yeah actually the older Silver Spurs/Spirits have their chassis and body made from STEEL, which brings their weight to nearly 3 tonnes.
The newer Phantom however, has got a 100 litre tank... and can go up to KL and back here in one go!![]()

lol.BTW THe Spur on the other hand is turbocharged version of Spirit,so i expect more engine maintanence.Originally posted by kikenfire88:The 18jan's interior totally CMI need to invest alot of $$ to restore it... 28jan on the other hand is much better but if you are going to spend lots of $$ to maintain it plus road tax and all, i rather you get other car options lo...
Hello... I myself sat in our Phantom demo car during my RR training in KL 2 years agoOriginally posted by yoshitei:There is no way, even with a 120 liter tank, a Rolls Royce will reach KL and back.
Having a displacement of almost 7 liters, I would assume that the consumption of one such car would be in the region of around 4 KM per liter.
Therefore, on a 100 liter tank, the car will only travel 400 KM. It may reach KL on a full tank of gas, but certainly it would require another full tank to return.
Also, the road tax for such a car as mentioned above will be around 15K per year. Maintenance? Insurance?
Buying a car is cheap, keeping it on the road isn't.
