Is it worth buying an old car??

  As stated above. parts will definately be a hassle to get maintaining it wont be cheap either right?? + need to renew coe. need ur advice guys

  That's depend on how much $ u got? Nowadays not many people renew COE due to the brand new cars are much cheaper than last time. Much worth it
  
  For parts & servicing , you can go across the causeway to do it. Much Much cheaper.

  how many yrs loan do you wanna take or u think can commit?

  budget will have to be decided by dad hopefully. even if there is enough to buy a brand new car with the budget, i'd prefer to stick with the old 1.I'll be dedicated to the car i think i'll stick with it until its time to realli let it go

  similar predicament..am thinking of getting a COE car with a budget of around 10-20k+. looking at the ESi at the moment. should be using it for 3 years odd. is it a good choice?

  i think u buy first hand civic...
  depreciation is only 2-3k per year....
  use 3 years sell away ... also around 10k...

  is definitely a good place to start if you're 1st time owner. start humble is good.
  
  but i'm not a honda fan. esp civics of those generation.... seen too many horrific accidents.

  i think for a start getting a coe car us nt as bad as it seems....
  
  u can even sell the car 1-2 yrs later
  
  think we all have the tendency to get sick and tired of things once we own it..for sometime
  
  presently im owning a coe car...but then its nt honda...
  
  honda esi nt bad la...just be careful...and check throughly before u buy lor...

  new civic easily $4k depreciation leh.. and the first yr depreciates even more..
