Hi,
like to ask if it is worth buying a colt?
Anyone know what is the current price for a auto 1.5?
FC for colt?
My budget is about $800 per month for installments, petrol and car park enough?
My budget for down pay is abt 12-18 k.
road tax and insurance? got factor in?
your budget i think can only get 40-50k car.. but pushing it.. hard time..
get a economy hatch instead ... weighting fc factor and road tax .. try to get somewhere below 1.5l
if u're preparing to down 12-18k i think ur 800/mth can be achieved.
Hi, I was driving a Colt (1st shipment, no less) for the past 3+ close to 4 years, until I changed to a forester this Feb.
I've missed the Colt ever since, it's a great small car, versatile, nippy and always able to pack just that one more dog/chair/shopping bag into the car. But you have to check for several things, mine came with bench seats up front, and my rear seats folded 50:50, not the current 40:60. Furthermore, my rear seats slide.
I've not been to Cycle for a long while so I'm not sure what the current Colt comes with. But the highlights of the car (besides the flexibility of the rear seat area (double fold) were the automatic wing mirrors (opens when you hit 30kmph). The automatic headlights, the four 1-touch power windows.
I was running the old engine, pre-facelift and my driving style was not exactly smooth, so I only got about 10km per litre but I've heard of people actually getting close to 14 km per litre.
Servicing is expensive at cycle, and the satellite station at thomson sucks, my driver-side locking mechanism gave me grief for the longest time and they never could fix it properly. But if you want a decent hatchback at that price range, the Colt is a good buy. If you can stretch your dollar a bit, then the Jazz is even better. I settled for a colt 'cos the Jazz was close to 5k more...that was more than what i was willing to part with.
Don't buy the Getz, feels like a toy inside, only reason to get it i guess is if you are looking at Protons and Chery (aka deathtrap)...
Hope the info helps. Cheers.
