Unlike Lexus and Infiniti these marques existed independently before being bought over. But if you want to push it then Lancia and Rolls-Royce are the Fiat and BMW groups' actual respective upmarket brands.Originally posted by sand king:Fiat = Ferrari

Most of the Acura models are rebadged Honda cars for the USA, and the bread-and-butter cars are among them.Originally posted by Variodical:Honda to Acura
The entire range is rebadged for sale in different countries - Vauxhall in the UK only, Holden in Australia and NZ and Opel in the rest of the world.Originally posted by MARK1992:opel to vauxhall to holden?
I think Opel, Vauxhall and Holden are just different badges used to market the same car in different markets. For example, Opel is used in Continental Europe as well as Singapore, Vauxhall in London and Holden is used in Australia.Originally posted by MARK1992:opel to vauxhall to holden?
Correct, though a few models are renamed for Australia, like the Corsa (Barina) and Omega (Commodore).Originally posted by joey2003:I think Opel, Vauxhall and Holden are just different badges used to market the same car in different markets. For example, the Opel Astra is know as Vauxhall Astra (same car) in London while it is known as Holden Astra in Australia.
The Commodore is not a rebadged Opel Omega. It is a car designed by Holden.Originally posted by Kuali Baba:Correct, though a few models are renamed for Australia, like the Corsa (Barina) and Omega (Commodore).
Well some of the trim levels have the Omega's underpinnings. The Monaro though was designed by Holden.Originally posted by Variodical:The Commodore is not a rebadged Opel Omega. It is a car designed by Holden.
