Lotus engineering, Lotus chasis, Lotus technology, so what? Your cars still have ping-pong plastics, windows that can't be wind up when after you wind them down, and models so old they put Proton at shame.
I know you own Lotus, but you on on like that the Lotus marque will be tarnished sooner or later

Lotus's marque has already been tarnished.
The reason why Proton has this compulsive need to overuse the Lotus name is as follows:
If some half assed driver were to drive his proton at high speeds, as he should not, and the car flies off the road, as it should, Proton will be able to turn around and say, "the acquisition of Lotus's engineering has taught us that light is better; it is unfortunate that this has happened but we have merely applied the intellectual property developed by Lotus" -
