I have been using SPC petrol for the last FIVE years. Reason is that one station is located near my house and since there is a loyalty rebate card, I will also pump petrol at any other SPC stations.
However, the one at 327 Thomson Road (Beside Thomson Medical Station) ALWAYS will not accept the same OCBC Visa Card that I used at other SPC stations or other shops/merchants.
It has happened EVERYTIME I used the same card at the Thomson station.
I will use another credit card from ANOTHER issuing bank, it will work.
Why I write this tonight was because of the poor attitude of the cashier. With a stone face, she just told me my card is not accepted. So I told her this is not the 1st time and I told her to feedback to her manager. Again stone face.
Before I left, I was thinking I may be back again to this station using the same card and I doubt she will feedback to her manager. So I ask her what she is going to tell her manager.
She said she will tell him "VISA cannot work". Without any other details, do you think they can resolve this?
Is this deliberate? Because sometime, merchants will tell us to use DBS/UOB etc cards for payments.
Anyone got any similar experience?
Any advice?
